For me, the scenario is a bit different. Plus, even before I officially start kigging, I am already trying to build bonds and relationships between a lot of kiggers, even just through Facebook contacts. I have set up the Kigurumi -- Asian Edition group on Facebook which consists most of Asian Kigs but the list do not extend to Japan and China (Future Prospects). I have also sort of built a map to seek Asian Kigurumis and significant center of focuses for each region as well as the mask makers and also places of interests in each different prospect SEA country that we will be going to.

When I decided to really buy and play with kig, I met @clara.t who has just gotten her kig and @Selena zee who has decided to kig as well. Both are them are from Singapore, so yeah, why not. And besides, since I am in this kig community, I have the Malaysian kigs who are my neighbours from a different country. I would say Singapore is at their buttstep since we are below them.

Hmm besides that, I have been talking to many kigs about spreading the awareness of kigurumi in my area and the various methods that I can do it using. I think a few of you guys have noticed that when I decide to do something or even plan to do something, I'll seek guidance and the wisdom of the senpais and the masters, as long as try it abit and backed up by a bit of research and observation. Been talking to @cloud about making a private map for my region as well as talk to cloud about giving opportunities to fans to try kigging first hand.

So technically I am not kigging alone, I have these wonderful people in the community in the world too~

I'd love to attend Anime Weekend Atlanta and Furry Weekend Atlanta, as well as other cons frequented by other kigus. The hardest part is making the friends.
The map is "kind of" outdated, and when you have cons near you, you will find people that will attend too :)

Oh, hmm. I didn't pay attention to the date it was posted. ^^'
And that's why I want to go so bad, to both of those conventions. I've never seen another kigurumi in person, sadly.

Just get settled in and talk to kigs in your general area.
There are a lot of American Kigs that will go to cons or do meetup i presume :)
Even here (northern germany) where there are close to -4 kigs around, i found some that i might meet up with :)

The map is not outdated, it is updated regularly with people who ask to be added to the map. It just looks out dated as you know their is more kigs than what is on the map, but not everyone wants to be placed onto a map so they can be easily found.

As highlighted, the best method is to talk to people you know and from their you might find out they are close to you and/or they might introduce you to other people as well who might be even closer still. Another good method is to go to a con and their you might get people talking to you and you can exchange contact info if you want and this will help (remember to take something to write with like a pen and paper so you can hold a conversation with them without talking).

I'm sorry, outdated was not the word i was looking for anyways. :)
I meant it is not complete with all of the kigs, due to the reasons you pointed out. Sorry

Well I think it's not like we can force kigs to key in their info inside the map itself. My problem right now is that Asia is not really filled on Cloud's map, so I had to get a private map of my own.

It's just good to know there are some kigurumi in Georgia. However, if I were to guess where the unmapped kigs were, it'd be Atlanta anyways. I highly doubt there are any in my town. But who knows?

As far as I could tell from current active that I can find I was the first one in Georgia. Most of the kigs in the area I've talked to seem to be on the map, though I know a few fans who aren't. Where around Georgia do you reside Rayuki?
