Indoors or outdoors?
Outside, the scenery is much nicer resulting in more beautiful photographs. It is not hot and smelly and generic like the inside of a convention hall. There is a constant cycling of fresh air and a cool breeze to keep you comfortable, prevent overheating and keep your eyes from fogging up. It's a matter of preference of course. I like it better outside, How about you?
I haven't been able to really kig outdoors yet because of the cold weather (I don't have anything to wear that would keep me warm for long except for an eskimo costume) but I have found that it provides better lighting than artificial light. I still have the fogging issue though because I wear glasses under my mask.
I don't have it complete yet, but I fear a bit going outside or con if alone, with a friend in kigu too or as handler would be better xD
But more than this I think that I fear is the heat, I mean basically cold days here are very rare lol it matching a con could be harder.. but yeah I don't want to overheat or something like passing out in kigu :v

I would love to go outdoors more... if there infact nearby scenic places myself (and a camera operator) can get to without attracting untimely attention... which there aren't any.

It is a matter of introducing the neighborhood to your hobbie without fear or shame. You'd be surprised at how receptive or accepting people are.HyenaChan wrote:I have so much respect for any kig that goes out in gear. I'd love to take a few pictures out by my cherry blossom tree and car, but I don't really want my neighbors seeing me.

What people need to understand, is that what we do is a hobby and that we have the right to do something leisurely.HyenaChan wrote:I have so much respect for any kig that goes out in gear. More often than not, people criticise without thinking things on the flip side, that is to say they often criticise others but are not willing to accept criticism of their own past times. Also, what people need to recognise is that hobbies are generally a reflection of someone's interests.
Here's one sentence I keep myself armed with for anyone who gives me a hard time with their criticism:
I have an upcoming party as I'll be moving homes soon; some invitees know about my kigging, some do not, some to a limited degree; but at end of the day, for me, it's a past time, and I want to share the spirit. Are you telling me that you have the right to judge what is a hobby and what is not?[/size]

My direct neighbors are cool, and know I'm a little odd, their is a hease in my driveway and few zombies on my lawn.
But what I'm worried about is my kid suffering because of me. I dont want other parents not letting their kids hang out with my kid because his dad is a weirdo. I know I know, that those people are assholes who are probably raising their kids to be assholes. But being a kid is hard enough and I dont want to handicap my kid any more then I'm already doing.
I've kinda worked aroundthe hearse goth thing by taking it to his schools and towns trunk or treat, even made it in the local paper once for it.
But I just kinda worried the Kigurumi thing might be a bridge to far.
