First outing fear

Post by Buff55 »

Every year my town holds a street festival and I was going to kig there as my first time however I’m a bit worried about how it will go concidering that it’s a small town and word spreads fast. If I’m seen unmasked the word may spread and as far as I’m aware I’m the only kig in a few miles (at least according to the map of kigs.) Am I being rational about this or am I blowing things out of proportion and getting worked up over nothing?

I live in Oregon in a small town on the coast of about 8000 people. Since I know Oregon to be a very liberal state, I don't worry about going out in kigu where I live. In this day and age, I honestly wouldn't think you'd have any problem, anywhere. Probably the worst thing that would happen is you make some elderly person confused.

Yeah, kids tend to be super open-minded though so I wouldn't worry about that too much. I still don't think there would be any problem. I bet most people's interactions would be to give compliments and/or have pictures made.

I’m honestly not really sure what it’s for. I could say it’s for our town’s small businesses but then it’s not at the same time. I might be fine since we sometimes have mascots and fursuiters come but it’s not really consistent.
